Lower Fees

Our fee starts at 29% vs the 33-35% industry standard. And if we sue it's 33% vs their 40-45%.

Nearly every Denver injury firm charges the same way: a percentage of your recovery, nothing upfront. The difference is what percentage they charge. Most firms still carry big offices, big staff and big billboard budgets. Venyx runs on modern case management technology. Lower overhead means a lower fee, not a lower standard, whether your auto accident was in Denver, Aurora, Lakewood or anywhere on the Front Range.

The Fee Difference

The industry never modernized. We did.

Nearly every injury firm charges a percentage of your recovery, whether you call one in Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Thornton, Westminster, Arvada, Boulder or Centennial. The difference is what percentage they charge. We are transparent with our fees. Most firms tend to hide theirs.

The Venyx Promise

Lower overhead means a lower fee, not a lower standard. The firm never makes more than the client.

*Venyx fee structure: 29% standard, 33% if a lawsuit is filed. Case costs are reimbursed from any recovery; if there is no recovery, the client owes no costs. Calculator figures are estimates only; actual fees are discussed at consultation, and your final recovery is also reduced by case costs, medical liens and other legal obligations. Every case is different.

Common Car Accident Cases

We Cover Them All

Most common crash

Rear-End Collisions

Insurers dismiss them as “minor,” but rear-end crashes cause serious whiplash and spinal injuries. We fight the low-ball offer and the claim that you stopped too suddenly.

Phone records

Distracted Driving

If the driver was texting, eating or otherwise distracted, they’re liable. We subpoena cell phone records and data logs to prove they weren’t watching the road at impact.

Punitive damages

Drunk & Impaired Driving

DUI crashes aren’t accidents, they’re crimes. Beyond your medical bills, we pursue punitive damages to hold the driver fully accountable.

T-Bone (Side-Impact) Crashes

Intersection crashes across Denver turn into he-said, she-said over who had the light. We secure footage from nearby businesses and dashcams, plus witness statements, to prove you had the right-of-way.

Uninsured Motorist Claims

If the at-fault driver fled or has no insurance, you aren’t out of options. We pursue UM/UIM claims through your own policy, without raising your rates.

Why It Matters Who You Hire

What the insurance companies will do and how we answer.

They’ll undervalue the claim.

The first offer after a car crash is built to clear their desk, not to cover your injuries. We identify every source of coverage, including your own uninsured motorist policy, and put a documented number on your medical costs, lost wages and pain.

They’ll dispute fault.

A vague or wrong police report from your auto accident is their opening to blame you. We don’t rely on the officer’s notes; we secure witness statements, footage and physical evidence that show what happened.

They’ll delay.

Adjusters run claims through software designed to undervalue them, then wait for you to take less. What changes their number is knowing your attorney will file suit, and Dylan does.

Direct Attorney Access

No case managers. No revolving door.

At a high-volume firm your auto accident is a file number. At Venyx you have Dylan’s direct line.

  • You talk to Dylan. From the first call to the last. Every call, every email, every demand letter.
  • Dylan handles the case himself. Investigation, negotiation and litigation strategy. Not a script, not a hand-off.
  • Built for trial. First-chair jury trials in Colorado state and federal court, and more lawsuits filed than most Colorado injury attorneys file in a career. Insurers know which attorneys go to trial, and it changes their offer.

I worked with a law office for over 2 years before I met Dylan Unger and the contrast couldn't be more dramatic. I went from a case that had no end in sight to Dylan taking over and quickly litigating my case to a final resolution. I paid thousands less due to Dylan's fee structure, and my case was resolved months earlier. A true testament to his expertise, professionalism, and dedication.

I can't begin to explain the importance of having a caring attorney. If you need a lawyer who actually listens, call Dylan. He helped me through a very scary crash. I had no idea how to navigate this process. Dylan met all of my expectations and went beyond. I'm eternally grateful for the opportunity to work with him.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

01

How much do lawyers take from a car accident settlement?

Most firms take 33% to 35% if the case settles before a lawsuit is filed, and 40% to 45% once one is filed. We charge 29% standard, and 33% if we file suit. The actual dollar figure depends on what gets recovered, and at every fee level the firm never makes more than the client.

02

How much does a car accident lawyer charge in Denver?

Nearly all Denver and Colorado injury firms work on contingency, which means the fee comes out of the recovery and you pay nothing upfront. Rates across the metro, from Aurora and Lakewood to Boulder, typically run 33% to 35% before a lawsuit and 40% to 45% after one is filed. Ours are 29% and 33%, from our office at 1415 Park Ave W in Denver.

03

Why is your fee lower than other firms?

We built the firm around modern case management technology, which keeps our overhead low and puts more of Dylan's time into casework instead of administration. Same trial-ready aggression, less cost to run the firm. When technology makes the work more efficient, the client should keep the savings. So we pass that difference on instead of pocketing it.

04

Who pays the case costs?

Case costs are the out-of-pocket expenses of building your claim: ordering medical records, court filing fees, expert witness fees. We advance them, and they are reimbursed from your recovery at the end. If there is no recovery, the firm absorbs them and you owe nothing. We keep costs down by using vetted providers and by using technology to avoid the expenses we can. What you will never see from us is a technology charge. Firms are increasingly using software to do the work paralegals and assistants used to do, then billing that software back to the client, often $200 to $800 or more on top of an already higher percentage. They cut the salary and charge you for the replacement. Ask any firm you are considering whether their technology shows up on your settlement statement. Ours never will. Technology is our cost of doing business, not a way to take more from injured clients.

05

Why should I get a lawyer if the accident was not my fault?

Because fault is only part of it. The claim still has to be built and documented, there are often several insurance policies in play, and adjusters are trained to pay you as little as possible. We know how to find every policy that applies, negotiate with medical providers and adjusters, and pursue the full value of your claim.

06

Is it worth getting an attorney for a car accident?

It depends on your injuries. For a minor scrape with no treatment, probably not. If you needed medical care, missed work, or are still in treatment, a lawyer usually changes the outcome of an auto accident claim by more than the fee costs. The consultation is free, we only earn a fee if we recover for you, and the firm never makes more than the client.
